Gradient Kaleidoscope Tiles Tutorial
Page 4
OK, we are almost done. The first thing I want you to do is open the image you saved as Tile 2. Now I want you to make a copy (Shift+D) and close Tile 2. Then take the copy and apply the Kaleidosope effect using the same settings we did on the previous page (see screenshot 18).

Voilą! After applying the Kaleidoscope effect, your new tile should look like screenshot 19. Save this final kaleidoscope tile as Tile 5.

You have now finished the Gradient Kaleidoscope Tiles Tutorial. As you can see, there are multitudes of alternatives you can come up with for your tiles, which can be used for any kind of background . . . either as the background of an image or as a background on a web page. The only limit is your imagination. Don't be afraid to try other effects and deformations besides Kaleidoscope and Spiky Halo. This tutorial is just a jumping off point for your creativity. If you continue on to Page 5, I've assembled all the tiles you just created, and if you click on each, you will be able to see how they look as full-page backgrounds for web pages.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, and that you'll try my tutorial for Creating New Gradients by following the link below so you can make these tiles in a variety of colors. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me via my Contact page (see link below).
